Busy Summer!

I can tell we are busy when our blog is ignored.  We have been going, going, going.  This summer is flying bye and I can’t believe school starts in a couple weeks.  We have had a fun summer with lots of Soccer, Swimming and Running.

We all did another 5k As  Team Williams in Fairborn.  Juliann placed 1st in her age division with a time of 27:29.  Jonathan placed 2ndd in his age division with a time of 27:59.  Chris was at 27:36 and I was at 30:23.  I did not make my under 30 goal yet.  Chris and the kids goal was to beat 28 minutes which they did!  So Chris is buying them a new gaming system that comes out this fall.  The kids are pretty excited about that.

We are now into full swing soccer.  The kids just finished a week of soccer camp and are now into their couple nights a week of practice’s. So right now we are living and breathing soccer.

The other big news for our family is we are going to put the kids into our City School.  We have done the Virtual Academy for the last three years and we are ready for traditional school.  So the kids are very excited to go and can’t wait.

We made a quick trip to Niagara Falls the beginning of June.  We had an absolute blast!  The best part was the view from our hotel room.  So amazing.

Lou Cox 5k 29:07 Chip time!

Lou Cox 5k!

Today we ran the Lou Cox 5k!  We came out with the goal of  making under 30 minutes and Chris and the kids smashed that time by nearly a minute.  They improved on their time from the panerathon by two minutes and twenty seven seconds.  I ran it in 30:45 and improved my time by two minutes.  Juliann did great even in a cast she did her best with no complaints.  Jonathan fell about the middle of mile 2 but got back up and kept on going.  Way to go!  Let’s see how our time improves with out the cast or the fall!  After accomplishing some great goals today we had a celebration dinner at PF Chang’s with my parents.  What a fun Memorial day.

Juliann’s World Cup Dream Dashed!

So this past Saturday was Julz & Jmans last soccer games for the Spring season.  The games started well! Julz put in a goal in the first half.  The second half she fell and broke her left arm.  She popped back up from the fall and then went right back down with tears flowing.  Her  coach got us on the field and as soon as we saw her arm we knew it was broken.  So off  to Children’s  ER!  She was a trooper, she broke both her ulna and radius bones and they had to be reset.  So as a Mom that was the worst part of the whole deal.  She was locally sedated and I was not allowed in the room where they reset the bone and put the cast on.  I could watch through a glass door and seeing her on the table crying was hard to watch.  The good thing is she doesn’t remember that part at all.  Once I saw her she asked “Mom did I fall asleep?”  She asked that several times.  The nurses and Dr’s loved her personality and how brave she was.  The sweet girls on her soccer team after the game got in there huddle and instead of yelling “Gumballs” they yelled “Julz”!   So since she missed her soccer pizza party we ordered Donatos for her and picked up some Strawberry ice cream.  So she is in a splint cast right now and later in the week she will get her permanent cast.

Here she is waiting in the ER!
